I agree with this whole train of thought.
The submitter should use his or her best work, representitive of the skill
level they posess at the time.
This may be regarded as outstanding work to some and junk to others.
But **The Submitter** should be the one to make the decision as to what
to display.
**Not us**
I'm scared s***less to enter an architecture photo, I'm BAD at it!
However, I already have 6 pages full of notes, sketches, ideas,
snapshots, etc.
I'm going to do the BEST I can and enter the darn thing, with pride.
I can't believe any more could be expected of me, or anyone else on
this list.
I am all for having one pic out of each PUG nominated for a permanent
favorites (NOT "bests") gallery.
I'd even be willing to provide the web space and maintenence for such
a beast.
Not a gallery of "winners", just a gallery of the photos we enjoyed
seeing the most. You know, like a family would do on the fridge. ;-0
We as photographers would of course tend to pick the most well done,
and artistic examples.
It would likely be very nice work.

That's how I see the PDML, as a loose family.
We fight, bicker, criticize.
We also help, guide, console, and all the other nice stuff.
A family who "judges" each other doesn't stay together very long.
(I know, I was in one, and the worst offender)
