Bruce, That's a very keen comment and observation, and one of the things I love about digital. I have a friend in Israel with whom I share lifes little moments. She'll sometimes send me a pic of a gift she received, the scene at an outdoor cafe where she's had lunch with her parents, a shot of her hair dresser, and so on. She once sent me pics of a couple of dresses and asked which I preferred. The antics of our cats are frequently shared, or pics to see who has the largest pile of laundry, etc. Little things that make up life's daily routines, fill us with laughter or tears, or just look interesting, can now be easily shared by friends and family who are apart. My friend took me for a walk around her neighborhood one day - nothing special, no photos of any significance, some even poorly composed or exposed, but it allowed us to go on a walk "together." I've done the same -
Digi helps keep me in closer contact with my sister and niece in much the same way. When my sister got a small Canon (suggested by people here on the Pentax list) I started getting pics with almost every email. Even local friends have used digi in a similar fashion. Some friends were remodeling their kitchen and sent pics of some tile samples they were considering, saving us a trip across the bay. They once asked me for a good way to pill a cat, and rather than go into a lengthily explanation of how to do it, or drive across to Marin to show them, a few snaps with the little Sony answered their questions and solved the problem for them almost immediately. For this alone, bringing friends and family closer, bringing the world closer, digi is wonderful. Shel > [Original Message] > From: Bruce Dayton > ...
