Someone suggested me off-list that flipping the aperture repeatedly (working it for brief intervals over
_several weeks_) will help, if the stickyness is due to disuse...

As this seems non-destructive, and one of the screws on the mount of my lens came 'pre stripped' <grrr>, I'll try this first...
