I discovered that the camera can be used in manual mode
while using auto focus lenses, and, in so doing, the meter can be bypassed
and the camera used just like any older, mechanical camera
That's the way I've been using mine about 90% of the time since I got my D
in 04.
Just started using some of the exposure modes.
