Hi all,
Talking about cards. The 2Gb Kingston CF I bought on eBay from Chitek
corp has still not arrived. It was sent insured post on April 19 and
seems to have been routed via Afghanistan and Tokyo, or Bangkok. So, not
only did I have to pay an extra $19 for Postal Insurance, I still don't
have the card and they are not helping. Anyway, I went to town and
bought one because I can't keep interrupting the work to unload* cards.
I shall demand a refund from Chitek unless the damned thing gets here
within a week or so. The nuisance is that although I've asked several
times for the tracking number I still haven't got it. Each time I email
them I get a message back saying 'We got your mail' -- and the last
reply asked me to confirm my shipping address -- but that's as far as it
has gone. They expect the buyer to fill in forms to find out what has
happened to a shipment. That's not a buyer's job. The seller is bloody
responsible for delivering the item. And if something goes wrong it's
the seller's job to find out what. I know this from personal experience
when a couple of camera bodies I shipped to a man in Mumbai vanished. I
sent him another one, with a zoom lens. In the end he was satisfied. I
shan't ship anything to India again.
* For stacks of images I sometimes make 60 exposures.
I hate giving negative feedback but it looks like I'll be doing it soon.

Still don't know why nobody commented on my report of a 133x 2GB SD
for $40 (AR $20) card a week or two ago. I got one, and it's great.
