yes, that's the lens.
I will test it today as Mike suggested and do some more flower shots. 
Gladly all the photos I lost can be made again easily.
I won another example of that lens at an auction for a very good price.
Despite the heavy weight I really start liking it for 
a fast "walk around lens kit" together with the Pentax A24mm.
