Brilliant! Just a tiny bit more foreground, maybe 10-15 pixels.

First: I'd like to thank all who has praised the photo. It's almost too
much, I not used to it ;-)

Marnie; you are the second who mention the OOF foreground. I see your
point,
and I partly agree. The reason I decided to present it like this (without
cropping of the foreground) is that I see three parts of the picture. This
cropping gives a near perfect use of the rule of thirds.

What I could do is to give it a more semi panoramic presentation, cropping
out both bottom and parts of the sky. I have to think more about this.

The blue background is the sea. I'm not sure if it is in direct sunlight
or not. I don't really remember. Perhaps Jostein does remember?
What he certainly does remember is the strange character escorting us
down the hill. He had some rather odd ideas on how to do hill side
conversation ;-)
But, he was a sweet guy, offering us help to carrying our gear.

Very interesting shot. The foreground appears to be in sunlight, the

back,

not. I like the way that sets the bird off. Effective.

However, I tend to want the stuff in the foreground, my eye does, in

focus

more. I don't think it would hurt the pic to crop a smidge off the

bottom.

Get
rid of a little of the shallow DOF of the weeds (grass? whatever).

Nice. I really like the color/lighting contrast. It makes the shot.
