If you're using any version of Windows after ME it's built in.  Just go 
to My Network places and add a location, follow the directions it's 
pretty straight forward.  If you have an earlier version you can use the 
dos based FTP client.   The good part is they are both free and the dos 
based client is fairly flexible once you get used to it.
