On the D cameras, you can use A, K, M and M42 lenses with some limitations.
I have the beep turned on my istD to help with manual focus. On my
camera metering is accessed via a gree button. On the later ones i
believe its is through the AE-L button. IMSMC it defaults to Center
weight metering when not in A.
