To be precise, OSX for x86 will run on any CPU which as SSE2 capability which means Pentium4, Pentium-M/Centrino,Athlon64/Sempron and newer.
Of course many components won't have drivers so you won't be able to use a numbers of things, sadly. But it could be nice to try and see the feeling or whatever reason you might have.
