I did leave the out "if it was unavailable in your area". But then I am
no more judgmental than you, so won't worry about it much.

A fast connection is not available in my area. I check with my provider
every six months or so, and signed on to a list to be notified when the
service is available. The San Francisco Bay Area is a large place. I live
in a somewhat rural area, where a lot of services are unavailable. Just as
a point of information, a friend in Marin County couldn't get a high speed
connection until just a few months ago. Yet people I know who lived close
to him could get such a connection. There are friends who live within five
miles of me who have a high speed connection, some of which use the same
provider I do.
Never really asked for, nor wanted, your sympathy. It's nice to know that
you can be judgmental without knowing all the facts. It's the American Way

Seems to me that you ought to spring for the solid, fast connection. The
only excuse for a dial up these days is that there simply is nothing
better available in your area. I am pretty certain that is not the case
out there in the SF area, I mean both DSL and Cable are available in
Boone NC, for cripe's sake. And the cost is not an issue; I am sure that
I pay a higher percentage of my income than almost anyone on the list
for a HS connection, which is why I am not very sympathetic to your
plight.

I've been trying to download the latest iteration of Adobe Bridge but
continually only get a partial download. I've tried four times.
Would someone with a solid, fast connection be kind enough to download
the
program for me (it's 34mb), copy to a CD, and send it along? Please
contact me off list if you are willing and able to help out. Thanks!
