As many of you know, our good friend Bill Owens is having serious health
issues. Word has come that he is in need of encouragement, strong
encouragement, to cooperate with the various medical people attempting to
aid him.
So this is a call for any of you, all of you, to send a strongly-worded
snail mail note to Bill, telling him that he needs to work to get better,
and to stop fighting against those good people trying to help him.
I have his snail mail address, as does Mark Roberts. If you are interested
in this effort, please let one of us know and we will be glad to provide
the address. His lovely wife Phyllis will gladly cart everything over to
his hospital bed and read it to him.
I have Bill's address as well, and am willing to provide it as well, just so
that Mark and Doug don't get too overwhelmed with requests.
Bill Owens is one of the finest people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
It is a small thing to ask that a card or letter be sent, but it might make
a very big difference to the life of Bill, his family and friends.
Please, take a few minutes and send him a letter of encouragement. Don't be
afraid to use strong words, Bill is a tough and stubborn man, he can take
it.
