Shel,

I have only shot a handful of RAW images in the years I have had my *ist D.

I do not have the time, nor the software, to handle the conversion of all my shots. I shoot like I do my film. I let someone else do my processing. I trust my lab. But regardless, I have been told that I am the most consistent photographer they have come across. I shoot as if I were shooting slides. I try to get it right in the camera. If it does not come out, oh well - I learn from it.

If I want something to be recorded in the best way possible, I have film cameras :-)

So the main reason is time.
I have not noticed any problems with my shooting JPEGs. But then again I have not enlarged beyond 8x10s.

Your mileage may vary,

Hi, I don't want to start a flame war, or get anyone's undies in knot. I'm
just curious to know how many people are not shooting raw, and why that may
be. Please, no flames or judgemental comment. We all know raw has
advantages, and in some circumstances can be a better choice than shooting
JPEGs.
