I havent. I figured that it wouldnt be much different from the ones I
have now. How large is "larger"?
I am using a 24" for a main, and a 60" as a fill these days, and am quite
happy.
I find the light from them to be harder than from a 24 inch umbrella,
using the same head as a light source.
Wow, thats surprising. I always thought that soft boxes gave the most
diffuse light.

While the light from sftboxes is quite diffuse, it is also very directional
and flat. Light from umbrellas wraps around the subject and gives a softer
look.
