At some point though, if you are cropping to excess, you should be rethinking your shooting strategy. I don't really feel comfortable quantifying what I think excessive cropping amounts to, but surely, if I was constantly only using 3/4 or less of my negatives, I would be trying to tighten up my composition in the field.
