I figured that out, too, and got the same results.

But get this: the card i used had been formatted a couple of times, new
pics were shot over old ones, and the program still recovered the files. 
Gotta play with it a little more to be sure of the limitations - some
"recovered" files didn't open in ACR but in PS as a new file, but without
any images.  I guess after two formats and a few over writes it would be
hard for any program to recover everything.  Anyway, the program is still
running,and it'll be interesting to see just how much can be recovered. 
Clearly pics from the last two sessions before the format are not a problem.
