I'll add my 2c worth. I've had two A20/2.8s separated by large difference in serial numbers and they performed virtually identically on film (I didn't have a DSLR at the time). The lens I still have I use on my *ist D, it's a good performer but it is easily bettered by my A24/2.8 and A16/2.8 FE. So unless I specifically require the AOV I tend to use either of the other two lenses in preference.
