I shoot RAW exclusively. The main advantage (I believe) is that it is
possible to correct the exposure and the White Balance (Colour temperature)
without quality loss. So what you do is this;
Adjust the colour balance to what you want - and then adjust to correct
exposure. Don't delete the RAW file - it's your negative, to which you can
return any time you want, if you later want something different. It's like
this: The jpeg or tiff file you save, is your enlargement/print. You are
allowed to make mistakes or experiments, but you've still have the neg in
case you want something else later.
Don't delete your RAW file! Save it! Make back-ups!
