Fourth time lucky. The strange phenomenon has ceased. I started the
program and everything was normal.
But you can't imagine how bizarre things were. Everything was blown out
to pink and turquoise with no details just stark, impossible, color. I'm
sorry I didn't take a picture of the screen with the ist D. But if it
happens again I shall. A screen capture might also have done.

Have you tried deleting the .RWSettings directory? If those files are
corrupted you can get strange results. If there isn't a .RWSettings
directory, RSE will create a new one next time you open those RAWs
