If I hold my breath for an *ist D upgrade, my next probably won't be until
2007.

I would be more optimistic about further announcements if there wasn't
mention of the *ist DL2 and the AF-540FGZ. To me this is just padding
their news. I do not like it.
I wish I could help you with your search for a DS2. Some would say
that this is a sign. I would like to think that Pentax will come
through with something worth upgrading too. Hopefully they will
still be in the camera business long enough to release an improvement
on the *ist D.
