Since I work for a consumer electronics retailer, "while supplies last" is usually an indicator that the item is a clearance item. It doesn't mean that the family of products is dead-ended, butusually that a new model is in the works. I know that they have been working on color Lightscribe, maybe it is soon to be here. Or they are anticipating the new DVD technology and have Blue-Ray or HD DVD drives coming.

Subject: OT: lightscribe DVD burners

Hi

I'm thinking of getting an external DVD burner for my computer and am intrigued with the lightscribe technology. But it seems that everywhere I look it says while supplies last. Does anyone know if they are phasing out that technology? I'd hate to spend the extra bucks then find out I can't get the media. Also, anyone using it? Problems etc.?
