My *ist D (and current 20D) do have shutter speed dials... What else do
you call the little wheelie thing on the front that allows you to "dial"
the "shutter speed"?
I didn't think I would like the control wheel interface, being used to the
more traditional film camera control layout. It's one of the reasons I
eschewed the entire PZ camera series, but was willing to buy an MZ body.
The istD forced the interface on me as part of the price of admission. It
took a bit of getting used to, but I quite like it now, especially when
using the grip and shooting verticals.
Now if they could just put an orientation sensor onto the camera.....
