Wow, this is something... So far only a couple high-end brands (Leica and Hasselblad) introduced DNG in their products or simply announced it...
As far as I could understand from the DNG specs, there is no technical challenge in generating DNG from the camera... The camera mostly does as it did with proprietary RAW, but just tells how in the file, and the "how" is mostly fixed for a given camera. The most difficult step to make seems to DECIDE to do it, when some manufacturers are still encrypting their raw files (well... sort of ;-) ). If Samsung is willing to do this, there are chances that Pentax will do the same, if they are any consistent. Specially if Pentax DSLR is seen as amateur/pro segment, and Samsung prosumer. My 2c...
