No ... the R1 was designed long before any Konica-Minolta assets
reached Sony.
I happened to pick up this issue for some reason last week. The cover
is hideously garish, but there was something in the articles that
piqued my interest at the bookstore. Curiously, I cannot find what it
was anymore ... oh well. I did notice the Pentax advertisement.
