Thanks, John. Yes, it's a nice place to live - a little cold and a little boring - no mountains, no sky scapers, no rivers (just small streems). Denmark is a bit like a small H.C.Andersen museum :-)
I know - some places makes it difficult to be a normal human being, since you are judged by extreem measures. Luckily it's not all that bad here yet (I think). I believe normal rools for photography still applies: I don't have to ask permission if the parents are arround and it's obvious that I'm photgraphing (no long telephoto lenses, hidden cameras etc.). Then the adult have an opportunity to say they don't want me to photograph, which I then must respect - unless of course the image is important for the media (democracy thrives on the freedom of expression). This goes for adults as well. I only need a permission if I'm shooting for commericial purposes - advertizing etc. - or if the parents are not there. This may, however, all soon come to an end (?): Denmark is currently loosing billions on milk and cheese sales in Muslim countries, because of some drawings of Mohammed in a Danish newspaper. It's not "allowed" the make drawings of Mohammed, according to Muslim beliefs. That's fine with me and I would probably respect this. But I don't have to, according to the law. In Denmark freedom of speech means that the government has no right to forbid thing like that. Our prime minister can't do anything - not even appologize to the countries concerned. What will come next - I don't know! Good job you don't live in Brisbane, our local paper reported today that all sorts of people are coming down heavily on photography of children in public places, with even parents having to seek permission to take photos of their own kids if there might be others in shot! The gauleiters are at it again...
