Hi,

I downloaded Gallery Constructor2, installed it, and set it going on a random bunch of TIFF images taken yesterday around the yard and hill. Nothing happened. I closed the window and found another that informed that it would take 180 minutes to make the gallery and this estimate rose to 183 while I watched. I tried to stop the program and was informed this would happen as soon as possible. Five minutes later I hit Ctrl Alt Del to shut it down.

I selected the same files (full sized TIFF converted from RAW) and set Express Thumbnail Creator going. In a little more than one minute the gallery was ready and for those of you who care to look:

The pictures are very ordinary snapshots (rubbishy) taken as I walked about the yard, the hill and the road to our house. If anyone has a question please ask. Its a messy collection. But it was made two orders of magnitude faster than the Gallery Constructor2 estimate.

Of course I may have made some kind of mistake with GC but it seemed quite straightforward.

My favorite web gallery software so far is from:

Gallery Constructor2 has an easy to use interface but has
a zillion options you can use as you become better at it.
Available for all platforms and even handles ist-D RAW.
Free for personal use.

I second that. I'd suggest hand coding basic main pages and generating
gallery pages of photos using some simple automated software. All recent
versions of Photoshop have been able to make photo gallery pages. If you
don't have any of them, try something free like Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/) or Web Album Generator
(http://www.ornj.net/software/webalbum/index.html).
