I worked for a company that had a technology sharing agreement with a
Japanese company a few years ago. Their engineers were generally
deferential, their managers were arrogant, and by the end of their visit
to our technology center each one was being watched by one of our
security people as they had a tendency to open filing cabinets they
shouldn't when no one else seemed to be around.
