Hi Bob, Nice shot, good mood, good light. There's a lot to like in this pic. I'm a sucker for misty morning shots, so it gets to me on two levels.
One suggestion - this is the kind of scene that needs several exposures. It might be better if the runners were closer or further away. I'm not saying it would be, but just that it might. Did you make several shots with the runners in different positions? If you're into such things, eliminating the sign could make the pic a bit stronger.
