Shortly after sending the question, I found a partial answer about Sears lenses: "If the lens is marked made in Japan, the manufacturer might have been Sigma or it might have been Ricoh." If the lens is marked made in Korea, the manufacturer might have been Samyang Optical" Can somebody confirm this?
