Shel, these are now a commodity item. I had been thinking about 
replacing my CD writer with a DVD writer, but didn't know 
prices. Then my son came up with one from Aopen (Taiwanese) 
priced at $50. So I got one too. It is so wonderful to have DVD 
if one has many gigabytes of photo files.
