Make some 16x20's on film, throw in some shots with wider apertures like 40 and 5.6, then we'll talk.
If all you're going to do is use the center of the lens because of the tiny APS sensor, and make little digi prints, stopping way down like F16 and F22, well, that's something else. The bottom of a Coke bottle could be made to look good. Of course, my paperweight comment was based on the A version, although everyone says is the same as the F.
