The FA*80-200/2.8 was very heavy. It was 450 grams heavier than a Sigma EX 70-200/2.8. Main reason for this was the PowerZoom thingy, I think. I suspect Pentax will be able to do a much sleeker lens now that the PowerZoom has been done away with.

One thing they could also do is to make it shorter on the long end, like a 50-150 lens or something. :-)
