This is the most purely muscle car from Mopar, but the Magnum and
Charger in the R/T and SRT8 versions are easily a competitor to the
Fords (more power too, the SRT8 is a 425HP Hemi, while the R/T makes do
with around 340HP) . Magnums (Especially Magnum R/T's) are everywhere
here, but I've only seen a couple of the new 'Stangs.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for posting the pics of the Charger. While not the "car guy" I used
to be, some of the new models push my buttons. Glad to see that Mopar has
something to fight the Fords. The new 'stang is selling quite well here in
California, and I've already seen three of the GT's on the road.
BTW, the Challenger was shown at the San Jose show last week.

Here's the front 3/4 for those who are interested. Not enough light to
get sufficient DOF here and a lousy background, but you can see what it
looks like:

Dodge unveiled a Challenger concept car at Detroit's North American
International Auto Show late yesterday. It's similar to the original
1971 Challenger, but with a much higher beltline and cleaner look
overall. I believe the engine is a 450 horsepower 6 liter hemi. DA
