Sorry, Tom.  Do you not consider yourself liberal?  <LOL>

Well, seriously, while most of my viewpoints would be considered by
many to be liberal (or farther left than that <g>), I like to think
that I don't merely "toe the party line" (such as it is), that I tend
to think things through, and decide on a case-by-case basis what's
right, what's wrong, and how I stand on the issues of the day.

Indeed, I left a political organization that I used to belong to,
because I couldn't agree on a few of their policies, and was told that
it was inappropriate to question certain positions that had already
"been democratically agreed on" by general committee at the annual
policy meetings.

Even though we may be ~ad idem~ on this matter, Tom, I'd never be so
naive to think that there are too many issues on which we may agree. 
I ~am~ glad that our views are not disparate in this matter,
however...
