If only it were that simple. If you put an F, FA or any other new lens
behind any on of Pentax's current or past TCs you will find that thelens
name/focal length is not registered.
Not even with the F-converter? Or the off-brand AF-ones? If not, it's time
for a range of D-FA converters ;o)
Plus some of the current lenses are still only A series, including the
fast teles.
And these A-lenses (or the 'MZ-M zooms') were never upgraded to provide
information to the body? I know the recent A-zooms are at least styled
much more like FA's than the original A-series zooms...
Anyway, you have some good points there. Let's hope Pentax takes this into
consideration if SR is intorduced in SLR bodies.
