Okay, I admit not being caught up to the list, but I did need to interject and tap into the collective knowledge of the list.

I have been offered the above lens - the 'famed' pancake lens. I had been stored on a camera for many years. The glass shows no marks. I would be rated a Bargain grade by KEH. The aperture ring works well. The only abnormality I noted was that I had to work the focus ring for quite a while to get smooth close focus. It still shows a slight hesitation as you start from the closest focus.

I do not keep up with auction sites and such, so I am asking what would you offer the owner? I think I should take into account a cleaning at some point in its future.

I think M40's typically fetch $/€75,- at ebay. The traders try to make $/€100,-, I think. In your case, I'd substract cleaning cost from 75,-...

Thanks,

Welcome, hope it helps.
