I hope you switch it off @ the printer. If you simply un plug it or
shut it off from a switch controlling the outlet, you're not
letting the printer go thru its shut down operation - can lead to
issues next time you try to print with it.
Yes I switch the printer off using the power button on the top
panel. It remains plugged in all the time.
BTW - my 2000 P sat unused for around 6 months, but after one
cleaning cycle, spit out a properly printed image.
My 97 Stylus Photo, likewise wasn't used for a number of months,
but was up to the task of printing enough 4"X6" prints to fill
numerous calendars.
I find with my 2100 that if I don't use it at least once a week it
has a tendency to clog. Not sure if it's ink drying within the
nozzles or just picking up dust from the rollers (the room is
carpeted so dust gets everywhere).
Actually I'll have to be careful next time I print as I've been
shifting a lot of furniture around the room today.
