Don ======= Thanks. Good to know. I got a Pentax lens once where someone seemly had removed some of the coating (later sold it to a list member). Around the edges. Left me wondering what could have possibly done it. Since I thought SMC was tough, tough. It wasn't a clean demarcation line, so it had been wiped somehow. And obviously they found something strong enough. I was rather amazed, actually. (I bought it on ebay and the seller warned about it, but it didn't affect picture quality, and the coating removal was slight.) So, ever since, I've wondered if they had used Windex, but obviously not. I also wanted to know about the Windex if I was ever tempted to use it on my lenses (Canon) -- i.e. if I ever get fungus. Not SMC so I'd be very, very careful. Thx, Marnie aka Doe
