First, thanks to all for the welcome and kind words. This list
(meaning the people on it) has more goodwill than any other I've
been on.
I have to ask - did being born in Darwin inspire
you to biology or did you move there because you were one? :)
The second (I'm from Sydney originally) but I got the desire to
live in the tropics from a year spent in Panama. Loved it! When I
came back to Oz, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to
come to Darwin.
And do you get to see those lovely skies where you live?
Yes! I go walking along that beach most mornings (lucky me) and
get to see some truly wonderful sunrises (sunsets are also great
here but I prefer the morning as it is cooler). The best time is
now -- the wet season -- because of the cloud effects.
The seagull doesn't look too annoyed to me.. he
just looks like he cant shut up.
