I have scanned a number of 35mm frames on the Perfection 3170.
Not Good! You'd have a better image by going to the corner drug store
and getting them placed on an inexpensive small file CD.
MF are not too bad. Depends on your expectations. I've printed some
8x10 3170 MF scans that looked go enough to have sold a few out of the
matted/unframed crate in the store.
Neg strips are a special problem, as the carrier design allows them to
curl at will.
