I shoot with the Sigma 500 Super in AV, Manual, Hyper, and TV modes at various
ISOs from 200 to 800. I've used it in trailing curtain mode and high-speed
synch mode. I find that it works well and delivers good results under all
conditions, as long as the contacts are clean and the flash is securely
mounted. If the connection is flawed, the flash operates but the exposures are
way off. I use all kinds of devices to soften the flash, including a softbox
attachment, a reflector, and a reflector with holes in it that bounces some of
the light off the ceiling. All work well if the distance is within the range of
the flash.
