Hi!
my version of Saturday's and Sunday's Mini PDML. http://users.bestweb.net/~hchong/Temp/ check out number 4 where my friend Loren is standing on the same ledge. we know it is well over 100ft straight down before landing on something solid. that place is Newman's Ledge and has been frequented by painters for probably close to 200 years, and photographers for probably over 100 years. the area where Mat, Loren, and i hiked was part of the Catskill Mountain House, a world famous resort from about 1840 to about 1910.
Talk about lighting... Herb, you and your friend were way luckier than Mat :-(.
Pleasure to meet you, by the way ;-). Boris
