I have no idea what operating system you are on (Some version of Windows, MAC ?) but the problems you have sound like the connection with your ISP is OK, but resolving names (URL's) for anything else fails. This could be a nameserver definition problem. How to solve that is highly OS specific though ... You would normally either configure IP addresses for the nameservers to use manually in some TCP/IP configuration screen or (more likely) it is set automatically while starting up or connecting to the ISP using DHCP. If the latter, it may help to retry at a later time, since there may be temporary problems with your ISP's DHCP or nameservers ... If you are on Windows, the "IPCONFIG" command will list most relevant settings, and "IPCONFIG /renew" will try to get a new DHCP lease (with new nameserver info :-) Regards, JvW (not using either Windows NOR the MAC for daily use :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jan van Wijk; http://www.dfsee.com/gallery
