Hi John, It's not a very good conversion. The pic looks muddy and under exposed - but the color version appeared to be the same way. The crop doesn't help much either. It loses a great deal of the sense of place. Catching the drummer at an "action peak" would have added greatly to the photo - as it is, it seems a little stagnant. He's a very outgoing guy - smiles a lot, is very animated - you missed that completely in this shot.
I believe you said you used the 6x7 for this. IMO that was the wrong camera. The 35mm is faster, easier to maneuver, and more suited for the action in this scene.
