Never liked Minolta's ergonomics. They once made you buy an accessory
card to program a camera into Av, IIRC. I did have a Hi-Matic when I
was a kid though. That was one fun camera.
I really love the 7D, and find it very ergonomic. I find the mix of
dials and buttons just right, and it took me no time to get up to speed
on it. My review is in the current issue of Digital Camera magazine.
Of course I was shooting with Maxxum 7 and Maxxum 9 before, so it was a
natural transition.
Unlike you, I've liked the ergonomics of Minolta's recent cameras. But
that's just a personal preference thing, like whether you like
chocolate or vanilla better.
