Yes, the monitor in this instance has a bigger impact on the image
rendering than my adjustments do. My PowerBook's screen isn't as
capable of rendering fine grayscale tonalities in the highlight range
as my calibrated desktop monitor, despite being calibrated with the
same hardware colorimeter, and the highlights go slightly too bright
on it.
