Vic, thanks for the interesting link in "Mind the Chinese...". I think that your post raises a wide range of cutural image perception issues. For me, a line or series of elements with visual flow from the low left to high right in an image has a dynamic and on-going quality, while a similar structure going from low right to high left seems regressive. Is this the same perception as one who reads from right to left ? Do others who read from left to right (as I do) have the up-and-to-the-right as "positive", or is it a consequence of math graphs with +x,+y in the upper right quadrant ?
