That doesn't sound like good news to anyone who might be building a
collection of DA lenses. I wonder if the DA series can accommodate such a larger sensor? I doubt there is much "room to grow", if you know what I mean.

Everything I've heard so far indicates there is.

In the case of the DA14, there's not a lot of additional room in the image circle. A 24x24 image circle is close to about it. Falloff at 26mm is pretty bad, and there is a physical shadow starting around 27mm.

With the DA18-55 and DA16-45, there's more image circle to work with particularly as you go to longer focal lengths.
