A neighbor called at 7:30 AM to say there was a fox sitting on our sidewalk in front of the fire hydrant. I pulled out the DS, slapped on the 400mm, and poked the lens thru the closed front window curtains. The back of the fox nearly filled the frame as I focused. Flip the camera on and press the shutter, but no shutter release! And no lights in the camera, or LCD on the top panel.
