If it's waist level it's no good, you have to be able to smell the leather.

The Hassy experience is pretty similar to a TLR, as long as you're
using the waist-level finder. Shorter and a little heavier though.
Love the feel of them.

I have, but I don't find them quite so intimate. A Hassy, might be
but I've never had the pleasure, it's an entirely different
experience from a TLR, I would imagine.

Never shot a Rolleiflex, eh? Far better tactile feel on MF gear than
35mm in general. I like 35mm, but for the feel of good solid
machinery, a Rolleiflex or Hassy is king IMHO. Even my little Super
Ricohflex is pretty solid.
And I'll be able to develop film as long as I can get Folger's
Crystals and baking soda. Folgernol always works in a pinch. Yes, i
shoot B&W. And I'm not worried about it going away, although I
expect it will become as difficult to acquire as 8x10 sheet film is
currently.

Soon you'll be unable to get the film developed, then there's the
pure tactile feel of good machinery. You can't caress a TLR quite
the same way as a 35mm when you're using it.

It can be for flash photography, manual flash sucks in any
fast-moving shooting (As does manual metering of the lighting is
challenging).
But if you want to take that tack, then why should I use anythning
other than my circa-1956 Super Ricohflex. I can make good
photographs on that (And have done so).
